"Take some bird food with you you won’t be disappointed"

"Great base to explore the lakes"

"A lovely property just a 10 min walk from the centre of Ambleside or down to Lake Windermere. A great base from which to explore all that The Lake District has to offer. I would stay here again!"

"Lovely accommodation. Beautiful dining room however a real shortage of serving bowls and equipment."

"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

"Awesome cottage in a great location. Hannah is an excellent host and very responsive to any queries. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Highly recommend!"

"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"I had a such lovely time. I could go back again every year! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

"Nice accommodation in a quiet location"

"Nicely appointed cottage that had everything you could need.Plenty of internal space, outside rooftop patio and hidden garden area.No wifi signal, and poor mobile phone signal added to the seclusion - away from the real world. Very rural, transport necessary to get anywhere."
