The place is very clean and quiet. It is in an exclusive neighborhood. Very safe to walk around. Their staff are very friendly and very service oriented. Breakfast was faboulous. The only thing is, it is a little further away from the city. Need a taxi to go anywhere but the taxi is also readily available and staff will call them for us. Wait time is very short usually less than 10 minutes.

This is a beautiful hotel just outside Florence. It is about 15-20 minutes from the main city of Florence but it is worth the drive if you looking for a peaceful relaxing quiet hotel. Amazing in every way. The beauty of waking around is unlike any other. When we got there after a long day of traveling we had just missed the lunchtime to eat, and when went to shower the handle broke off- this is not a complaint. If you are planning to visit Florence, this is the hotel you should book! It won't let you down. Your Florence stay will be brilliant and memorable. I booked this hotel after read someone's comment. As I learned, the location is a bit far from the center of city. Even so, it is still worth to stay at this hotel. If you take a taxi, it costs 10 euro from/to hotel approxilately. For money savers, taking a bus #14 just for 2 euro may be suitable. The bus stop for #14 is only 2 blocks walk...

Spectacular - the best part of Florence without the craziness of in-town tourist zoo. 15 min taxi to the center of town and a very welcome escape for the evening. The restaurant is second to none and is a close second only to the Villa San Michele next door.

Kiara was wonderful from start to finish. The staff are welcoming and so very cordial. She even upgraded my room. The property itself is gorgeous with lots of space. I appreciated the unique touches of this property. Breakfast was also very nice to have in their restaurant which has a very lovely skylight, perfect way to spend a slow morning on vacation. We only stayed one night at this place but we really enjoyed it. Very cool vibes. Only downside is that getting to the room feels a bit complicated since it's in a different building than the lobby.

I had a great experience here that far exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect, just a short walk from major tourist attractions. The morning breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety to start the day. One standout feature was the complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar—such a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced the experience.

Wonderful stay. We have stayed in other hotels on our many trips to Florence but now, the Pendini will always be our choice in Florence.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the service was great. Very close the train station, about a 5 minute walk. Great local restaurants within walking distance. Also great location for visiting the historical sites.

Horrible! Do not go there! Because if you stay there once, your standards will rise and you will have hard time comparing other hotels to this one which exceeded all standards. Do not get fooled by its 3-star status, as the rooms, deco and services would definitely compete with at least a 4-star counterpart. Very accessible to everything

This place is amazing, and was a great deal in the off season. We paid €120 for a very nice room with a great big shower and a little private patio. The downside is being a long way from Florence’s attractions and restaurants. The closest place to eat was an 8 minute walk. If you have a car and want to be away from the madness of the tourist areas this is your place. VERY quiet.

Everything was perfect, cleanliness is top notch, staff is super helpful and friendly, Yehia is such a professional and nice guy. The hotel is super cozy and very central location!

Family and I stayed at la fortezza for three days...staff exceeded all our expectations and provided great help from where to eat to what transportation to take to the airport.
