"What a beautiful property set against an absolutely stunning backdrop. This truly was a once in a lifetime holiday and if you are seeking peace and tranquility, a beautiful old villa (perfectly cool and dark for those very hot days!) and a warm, congenial host, this is it. Guido and Barbara went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, from sharing info on the local area, to lending us clothes when our cases didn’t arrive and a gin and tonic and nibbles on our last evening. Thoroughly recommend!"

Agriturismo Fattoria Lavacchio

"We visited four very different parts of Italy and our stay at Fattoria Lavacchio may have been our favorite. One important thing to know that was a little tricky to figure out was that you check-in at “Casabella”. The property belonging to Fattoria Lavacchio includes multiple buildings spread along 1km or so of the road. Our room ended up being an apartment about 300m from Casabella (the building in the pictures here with the pool). There was not traditional a/c but we didn’t need it with the fans and air coolers they provided. We also loved sleeping with the windows wide open and no need for screens because no bugs!! Even in the hottest part of the summer!! We love star gazing at night, cooking class overlooking the winery, horseback riding, and dinner on the patio by the pool. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh juices and jams made there at Fattoria Lavacchio. They also make their own olive oil. We felt very relaxed and refreshed after our visit there. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Merci à Renate pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse. Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite dans un havre de paix, le logement correspondant parfaitement aux photos présentées sur le site. Les derniers 500M pour y arriver semblent impressionnants, mais accessible à tout véhicule classique. Très pratique: Une gare pour rejoindre Florence en train, avec parking gratuit, située à quelques KM"

"Es war sehr schön, sehr ruhig, wir haben es sehr genossen!Einziger Minuspunkt: der Pool ist schon weit weg, mehr als 250m und zurück bergauf durch den Olivenhain.Sonst 5* plus!"

Castle of Volognano

"Everything was great! Wine tasting and dinner at the castle was amazing, it was the highlight of our stay there.Lots of stairs and no AC. If travelling in the summer, it’s very hot inside during the day. They do provide fans for the bedrooms and with the open windows, there is some relief during the night.Overall, it was a fantastic."

"A beautiful well equipped house in a great location. We had a lovely time cooling off and relaxing by the pool, which is a very good size for a private property. It was easy to get into cities like Florence and Rome and we also had nice days out in Poppi and at the Villa Travignoli vineyard tour. The only downside was the sleeping as we had some very hot nights (30 degrees) and struggled with the lack of AC. Maybe mosquito screens would be helpful so the windows can be left open at night? Other than this it was a brilliant place to stay for our party of 5 adults."

"Ein wunderbares Anwesen, besonders hervorzuheben der supertolle Infinitypool mit dem Traumausblick auf die Hügel der Toscana.Besonders begeistert hat uns auch das jeden Abend andere Farbenspiel des Sonnenuntergangs.Anna ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin, hat uns jederzeit unterstützt- wir haben sie ins Herz geschlossen und kommen gerne wieder.Danke für alles!!"
