"Schönes Ferienhaus und für 2 Personen optimal. Wir waren mit 2 Kindern dort und haben die Schlafcouch genutzt. Es bedarf mehr Organisation für 4 Personen, aber uns hat es gut gefallen. Sehr Nette Vermieter und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Danke Gianna und Familie"

"My husband and I had an amazing time here. The staff was super attentive and the cooking class was super fun and enjoyable with the wonderful chef guiding us through our pasta making. We also had a chance to do some truffle hunting with our little Chihuahua and their resident dog ginger. Will recommend this beautiful vineyard. Thank you for a wonderful experience and stay."

"Truly an amazing, secluded retreat in the hills in Tuscany. Make sure you have a car with some ground clearance, the last mile up the hill is an attraction on its own. The host Barbara is amazing, as well as her family's horse farm and the cook (can be hired for an private dinner), who also started a vineyard visible from the house.The building is old (12th century), but well furnished, has a great pool, great kitchen and of course great views! Vicchio is about 20 min (including the downhill) and has a train station with a train to florence (1hr for 6 euro) as well as a super market. Basically all the ingredients for an awesome holiday.We had an amazing time."

"Sehr schön gelegenes Ferienhaus. Durch die Lage am Hang ein toller Blick vom Garten auf die Hügel und Berge. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und das Grundstück wirklich der Hammer. Wir hatten einen wundervoll entspannten Urlaub. Danke dafür."
Castle of Volognano

"The stay at Volognano Castle was an incredible experience for our family. This 11th century castle in the Tuscan hills is beautifully restored and was comfortable for our large group. Patrizia and Margherita were very communicative and informative from the planning stage to our departure making sure every detail was handled. We arrived in the evening and Erika picked us up at the Pontassieve Train Station for a quick ride to the castle. There is an adorable bar/bakery right by the train station that had yummy coffee, treats and drinks. The owners, Patrizia and Alberto welcomed us at our arrival and Margherita gave us info about the accommodations and answered any questions. We scheduled a wine tasting and a light meal when we arrived (early evening). It was INCREDIBLE. Constanza gave us a tour of the grounds and shared her passion for the region, the wines and olive oil produced on property as well as her extensive knowledge of Italian wines. We learned so much about the wines and each was paired with delicious food. We then were served a delicious meal prepared by Silvana. It was one of the most special moments of our trip to Italy. This property is absolutely stunning. The views are jaw dropping, the grounds are immaculate and the hospitality unmatched. We had a breakfast and dinner prepared and all was delicious. Some things to note: Lots of stairs; no A/C but nights were comfortable with windows and breeze; it's rural, so maybe rent a car."

"What an incredible property! And Jane and Giampiero are such kind and gracious hosts. You will love it here! We enjoyed using the villa as our home base while we explored Florence and Tuscany, and at the end of each day, we were so enamored with the incredible views and tranquility after busy days of exploration. Some days, we just enjoyed the villa, sitting outside, reading, and enjoying wine. There's a wonderful grocery store a short drive away, so we would often eat lunch out and then make dinner at the villa. It's such a special place. Jane was wonderful at answering my questions. Our stay felt like home. We hope to return one day. Also, if you have a chance, definitely arrange for a tour of Castello Nipozzano - a Frescobaldi winery. Thank you for arranging it for us, Jane."

"The outside of the house, the poolarea, the veranda all very beautiful!It is clean, very cozy kitchen. Annemaria is amazing! So friendly and always there to lend a hand if needed. She and het daughter cooked us a lovely dinner. Highly recommended.The only thing that could be improved in the villa is the livingroom. We had very bad weather and were forced to stay inside. The living only has a couch for two persons and is uncomfortable. We were with 4 people so not enough room to sit on. And it was chilly.But if the weather is good nobody cares about that ofcourse. Then you will have an amazing time there!"
