"This is a very clean small property reminiscent of the 60s motor motels. It is definitely a desert vibe which is as it should be. The beds were okay (if you’re young they’re probably good), there were two and one was better than the other. Linens were good. There is a coffee maker, small refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool was clean and a nice place to view the stars. It has several built in barbecue grills around the property, it looked like there was one for each building. Only two things I would change… make the outside lights red instead of amber then turn them towards the room and add a few more chairs outside the room. It is about 15 to 20 minutes from restaurants and a good little grocery and 30 from the entrance to the park."

"My go-to place when riding through west Texas. It’s pretty basic, but I can park my bike right out by the room. Fire pit for after dark. Basic amenities in an old school motor court type place. I would say if you’re into vibe and nostalgia, rather than making waffles in the breakfast area, give it a shot. It’s not for everyone. But I really enjoy it."

"We got this room last minute as we were due to leave our Air B&B and wanted to stay another night. This was basically the only thing available. If Im in that situation again, Id stay but I would not make this my base camp for days of hiking BBNP. No tv and no wifi. Room smelled of something weird. Uncomfortable bed. No need to bash it as it was a get me by."

"Accommodations exceeded our expectations, offering a spacious and restful place in the ‘desert’ of Big Bend. And Mother Nature treated us to a beautiful, clear night with skies filled with stars for us to gaze upon and enjoy! Though it might have cost a bit more than some of the other lodging options in that area, it was worth every penny and we will definitely book with them again next time we’re in the area!"
