Amazing stop for us. Absolutely splendid hotel with wonderful grounds! Our boys loved the outdoor grounds for exploring and playing soccer (football). Stayed here in a family room (5 of us)--plenty of space, overlooking pool. Wonderful service and attention. Convenient for our visits to Avebury and Bath.

The hotel and staff are wonderful. Their restaurant is fantastic and the town is beautiful. So much attention to detail and the food easily rivals the best in London. You will not regret spending time in this wonderful hotel.

Everything was clean and cozy. Staff was excellent! Hotel was beautiful.

The inn was beautiful. The location is perfect. It is right outside Bath, next to the horse racecourse. The room was nearly brand new which was both good and bad. The good was it was spotless and well maintained. The bad was the radiator wasn’t working the first night so my son was shivering all night. The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. My second issue was there was no chair or desk in the room. I didn’t care that the tv only had 4 channels- all the other...

We love historic places to stay at. The George fit that perfectly. The room was full of charm and character. Modern it is not, but we knew this going in and we expected what they delivered. The restaurant serves delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay there again given the chance. Thank you, The George Inn, we had a wonderful w experience.

The hotel is located outside the city of Bath. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city centre, so we took a local bus. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Gems assisted us at check-in and printed out the bus schedule for us!! She was very pleasant as well as all the other staff. We were having dinner at the hotel, and she walked us to the dining room. Beautiful hotel, with fantastic gardens, exceptional rooms & service. We were lucky enough to have a large room on the third floor with gorgeous views of the gardens & hills in the distance.
