"I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

"The room was clean with usual facilities. Staff friendly. Parking excellent. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. Only toast or cereal supplied as part of the Bed and breakfast charge. Anything else had to be paid for as an extra. This wasn't expected and for the price of the room we feel that at the very least a continental style breakfast could have been supplied. We ended up going to a local cafe for a decent breakfast every day of our stay."

"Everything was absolutely perfect! Village location that’s not too difficult to get to via car. Private car park directly across the street from the hotel. Bus stop right down the road in Crumplehorn. Full breakfast included in the rate. Spotless, comfy rooms with daily housekeeping. Teas and coffees, etc. in the room and refreshed daily with housekeeping. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Clean well presented accommodation, check was easy and well communicated, parking was easy to find with the addition of photos to help. Good location and pet friendly, close to town with a few steep steps but you quickly get used to that. Maybe a parasol would be nice to go with the table and chairs outside, even more so in this current heat wave. "Sehr schönes Zimmer, was wir zu dritt hatten. Sehr nettes Personal, tolles Lokal mit leckerem Essen, einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: das dritte Bett ist ein etwas unbequemes Schlafsofa. Insgesamt: tolle Unterkunft mit guter Ausgangslage, um Cornwall zu erkunden. Kann ich nur empfehlen!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside was the condition of the tennis courts. We specifically looked for a hotel with a tennis court and the photos on the website looked great. Unfortunately the courts seem to have been neglected. Only one had a net and the surface was really not safe to play on. I think the misleading photos need removing from the website, or the courts need attention. Other than that we had a great stay. The gym and pool areas are great."
