"Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward."

"Exceeded our expectations! Great place for a large family or for a group of friends to stay! Each couple/family had their own apt, and there is an amazing outdoor common area to eat, drink and be merry. A+ hosts."

"Beautiful property — we stayed as a group of 7 and really enjoyed it. The beds were super comfortable, and the whole space has been designed with care.It is in a quiet neighborhood with easy walk to stores / restaurants and central tourist areas It’s a newer listing, so we passed on some helpful tips directly to the host about a few small things that could make the stay even better.Overall, we had a great experience and would happily return. Thank you for hosting us."

"The place was nice. Check in was tough as they didn’t answer when we were trying to find the place. We didn’t have someone show us how to use everything and had to ask later. Communication was delayed as well at times. Location was great though to walk around. Driving in the neighborhood and parking is challenging. Word of caution, typical places are charging 2 euros per night per person for the city tax. Instead of 50euros, we had to pay 62euros. They charged more but it was not listed...

"The home was wonderful and certainly beautiful. Our friends enjoyed sitting in the Garden and using the pool. The kitchen was great. Our kids loved the bedrooms where they stayed, and we all slept comfortably. It was easy to go to the places that we visited and some walked often. We would recommend everyone to use this home. Loved it."

"Appartement insalubre qui sent l'humidité pour ne pas dire la moisissure malgré le nettoyage correct des femmes de ménage. Situé en sous-sol avec une petite fenêtre de chambre en contre-bas d'une rue, l'autre en contre-bas du passage des autres locations avec aboiement de chiens puis une fenêtre de cuisine fermée qui donne dans un débarras faisant office en autre de garage à moto, vélo, laverie et repassage des femmes de ménage qui viennent tous les jours. "The staff was wonderful....they even called one morning to check on us because we hadn't come down for our scheduled breakfast time, and they left one table set for us and waited until we came down to eat. The room was a good size compared to other Portugal hotels we stayed in, the location was very convenient to everything, and we had a great view of the Duoro! We would definitely stay there again!"

"Lovely hotel, approx 50min walk from the centre. Nice restaurants close including a good Indian Mendi. Hotel well furnished, rooftop bar, spa, etc. very nice place to stay, staff are amazing. Would definitely stay again"
