"This is a very nice newly renovated hotel located in a historic building that was built in 1898. The hotel has cool vibe that fuses historic tradition with a stylish modern artistic flair. The co-located Garden Bar and restaurant is very nice with hip sports bar thing going on. The junior suite room that we stayed in was modest, functional and comfortable. The property also has a nice, reasonably equipped, smallish fitness room that my wife and I happily used. The one and only drawback to this hotel, depending on one’s perspective, is that there is no elevator in this three story historic building. However, the hotel staff will happily tote your luggage to and from your room. Overall, I give the Royal Bell a 9.5/10. We stayed at the Royal Bell because I flew a Supermarine Spitfire out of Biggin Hill airport and wanted to stay in a nice hotel that reflected some of the spirit of London but wasn’t too far away from either the Biggin Hill airport or King’s Cross Station. The Royal Bell hit the mark perfectly."
