This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and clean. The staff could not do enough for us, even postponing a scheduled fire drill because we told the breakfast staff I was planning on taking a jet lag nap before going out to explore the countryside. Meals were absolutely delicious with a great take on traditional favourites. A must stay!

This hotel was a bit of a surprise. The set up looks more like a motel and we were concerned there would be noise from the parking lot but it was fine. Our room appeared recently renovated and was very well thought through & appointed. No complaints! The restaurant sits right on the river and has a wonderful breakfast so be sure to sign up for that. Lovely view & you can watch boats go by while dining. Lovely, helpful staff. We were very pleased and would be happy to stay again.

Very simple room accommodations but met our needs for sleeping while using rooms within the restaurant/bar complex as base to travel to Welsh National Eisteddfod in Wrexham for three nights. Not convenient to pick up bus or not many taxi's on the road. Bar staff helpful.

My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. This location was perfect! It allowed us to stay out of the city in a more relaxed and less commercial inn, so that we could truly get a feel for the area. This property was amazing, I couldn’t think of a better place to stay when in the Liverpool area. The staff was first class, accommodations were perfect, the food was excellent. I have zero complaints, and nothing but kudos for everyone!! Thank you for making my stay perfect!
