"For me, the treatment from the hotel staff is what I remember most. This level of hospitality and historical significance would’ve cost my wife and I hundreds or thousands of dollars in the States. We opted-in for the daily breakfast and it was well worth the daily expense. The breakfast staff were very attentive and friendly. The front-end staff were extremely attentive. We were greeted every time we entered or exited the lobby. It fact my wife had breathing problems due to the high altitude and one of the staff members sat with her until I returned from the pharmacy. My wife and I travel a lot and I don’t think I have ever experienced such hospitality and friendliness from hotel staff. It goes without saying that the hotel interior is historic and beautiful. I suppose the only negative is the loud, vibrant neighborhood. If you like high-vibe neighborhoods, full of restaurants, clubs and cool cafes then this spot is for you. All of our restaurant experiences were within walking distance. However, if you have a hard time sleeping with loud noises then u may need to request that the staff put u on the quiet side of the hotel. The neighborhood is vibrant well past midnight (especially on the weekends)."
