"Very clean room but very small bathroom / wet room whereby when showering everything else in the room gets wet. Fine for a quick one night stay before a flight but wouldn’t advise longer stay periods in the classic double room - no windows room that we had. No restaurant or bar in the hotel but it’s in the south terminal at Gatwick so there was Giraffe and Wetherspoons a two minute walk from reception open until around 22:00/23:00 plus 24hour cafe Nero, M&S and Greggs for a quick bite if you check in later. Overall would highly recommend for a one night pre departure or post arrival stay"

"Hotel and staff were generally nice, but toilet in bedroom spent of urine. No body lotion in bedroom bathroom. Had 3x Breakfasts for 4x mornings of my stay and items constantly needed to be replenished for the buffet. Was asked for id on arrival which was fine but would have been nice to be given prior notice as I am a UK resident."

"This is the review which I sent to the hotel itself....Hello, I was enchanted by the age and distinction of your building and we were in perfect timing to enjoy sitting out on your patio and enjoying the vast view over the fields as the day drew to a close. Lovely waitstaff. I appreciated the print out about the history of the place from the front desk when I asked about it. It was definitely the nicest and biggest bed we slept on during our 2 weeks of travel in the U.K. Soft pillows and the clean, white linen felt luxurious. I only wish the smoke alarm (?) above our bed wasn't flashing brightly all night long. It kept us from sleeping well before our early morning flight out. That was the only part we didn't like. With such a large property parking was plentiful. I know it's a good way to make extra money and seems to be the U.K. way, but it would seem that parking wouldn't be an extra charge. Oh, also, my spaghetti carbonara was just so so. Not very flavorful. All else was great! Thank you!"
