"I usually really enjoy staying here. Unfortunately now, I won’t return. There was no WIFI, not for everyone, just for me (this was no fault of my own, I had 2 devices which I even took to a nearby restaurant to prove to hotel staff they were not both faulty…not that this made any difference.) I was on my own and there was no 4g or phone reception in the room, which I would have settled for, even though the WiFi should be provided for EVERYONE. There was not even an in room phone, I could not contact anyone. Only by wandering the hotel to get a good enough reception to send an odd text. And I was lucky if I managed to do this. Some staff were very helpful, others, I felt were blaming me or did not care as it was only me. I did not get to do anything else here (not even sleep) for constantly trying to fix the problem, go to reception, wait on non existing updates or waiting for a certain amount of time until it was (not) to be fixed, searching for phone reception, unpacking and packing again. The problem was fixed maybe 30 hours after my arrival, all of which I felt distressed and upset. I expected the WiFi may be fixed around that time (Friday evening, after other new guests had checked in for the weekend to find they could not access the WiFi) which made me feel even worse as it was clear a returning guest (me) was not relevant enough to call in the tech team, which I thought was required. I left on day 2 of 4. I did not receive a proper apology or any compensation."

"Stayed overnight before our holiday. From the friendly welcome to the service at dinner the staff were fantastic. Food was great with a good selection and our room was perfect. Would definitely use anytime we leave from this airport. "

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and at £85 for the room, it is frankly unbelievable how poor the overall standard was. From the moment I arrived, the tone was set by an incredibly rigid and unfriendly approach. I asked about check-out time and was told it is strictly 11:00 AM, and even being 5 minutes late would result in a £20 charge. No flexibility, no understanding — just a transactional, almost punitive attitude towards guests. The condition of the hotel was equally off-putting. The entrance and stair carpets smelled strongly of dog hair, which is not exactly the welcome you expect. Sadly, the room didn’t improve things — it was small, with the same unpleasant carpet smell, making it feel unclean and uncomfortable. Basic amenities were shockingly absent. No water provided in the room, which is standard even in far cheaper places. Breakfast arrangements were also disappointing. It finishes at 9:30 AM, meaning if you want even a slightly relaxed morning, forget it. For a hotel charging these rates, this is completely unreasonable. Overall, the stay felt less like a hotel and more like being in a strict, joyless military lodge — no comfort, no hospitality, no flexibility. For £85, this is absolutely not worth the price. There are far better options elsewhere. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. I have come all the way from London . I will never make the same mistake of staying here again. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone"

"Had a lovely stay. Breakfast staff were attentive and very friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order and arrived quickly.The leisure suite is a bit tired (jacuzzi was out of action, and looked like it had been for a while) however, this did not detract from the overall relaxed vibe of a charming old hotel. We would stay again."
