This was my retreat experience and was delighted by the place. I see that EXPEDIA rates it at 3 1/2 star but would consider this place much higher. The place is very new and decorated in a calm, simple but yet stylish way. The setting on the side of the mountain offers stunning views and the sound of the forest is so peaceful. I was blown away by the attention of the employees, they are genuine and kind. If you are concern about the semi/raw diet...don't be!! I was so surprise on how good...

The resort was not small by any means, but felt intimate. The staff made you feel special, they took the time to remember your preferences and your name. The resort is very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again

Wonderful owner and his family cared for us during our stay in this wonderful hand crafted place with beautiful woodwork and friendly caring staff. Room was nice, clean and beds were comfortable. Service and food were excellent and the staff were very helpful with ideas about fun things to do in the area. Definitely want to come back soon and spend more time!

This resort far exceeded my expectations. Even though it was low season, and the resort appeared to be almost empty of guests, it felt fully staffed and the service was excellent in every respect. The setting is breathtaking, with the volcanoes and rain forests surrounding you and gorgeous wildlife throughout. The hosts Ana and Pablo are incredible warm caring people who have unmatched hospitality. The tour of the chocolate plantation is a must - samples were delicious. We stayed and Studio Hotel for the second time after the first experience was very pleasurable. The rooms are great, the staff extremely friendly, and the location is hard to beat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We went to celebrate our 30th anniversary and we had an incredibly good time. The service at the restaurant was very nice and the cleaning service was perfect (Selena was very helpful, great job). We recommend this wonderful place.

The pools/spas were maintained at different temperatures suitable for relaxing in after a day of hiking. Office staff were helpful in arranging for tours, translating, and providing recommendations.

This is a perfect place to stay for anyone planning to do the Tenorio Volcano hike, as the trail is walking distance from your room. Cecilia was an incredible hostess, diligent and super friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. No complaints at all❗️

We loved this hotel. Staff were super friendly and helped us book local tours. There's a great soda across the street with excellent food. The beds are pretty hard but my husband and I shared a king size bed which gave us a lot of space. There's a little bar on the second floor that makes excellent pina coladas with fresh pineapple. Also includes breakfast.

The hotel is in one of the best location in San Jose if not the best. The staff and facilities are excellent. Outstanding breakfast which is already included on the rate.

It was a very nice place. The bed was a little uncomfortable but it was a nice place. And the restaurant was absolutely delicious!

This property was absolutely wonderful from the amenities to the very nice staff to the beautiful location. Keep in mind that the hotel is about 20 to 30 minutes from the city area and taxis can get expensive however this hotel is worth it. Activities multiple restaurants, great spa tennis golf course and a historical tour available..

From the first interaction with Steven in reception (complimentary glass of wine upon arrival), to their willingness to help. I had a race and was not able to take advantage of their buffet breakfast, however the kitchen was kind enough to prepare me a plate of food that was amazing upon my return back to the hotel.
