"Rather fond of Città Dei Mille. It looks as if it was the latest thing back in the 1970s, but I probably thought the same about myself then. Everything runs smoothly and pleasantly, from the friendly reception staff to the abundant buffet breakfast. The single room was "compact"; the bathroom was at least twice the size of those in a North Sea ferry cabin, but it included a real bath (which I was pleased to use). And it's a fifteen-minute walk to find a trattoria or to catch the No 1 bus to the airport. I've used it a few times and I've always been happy with it."

"Hotel Gombit has a great location, but, more that, the hotel room was spacious, with ample shower space, elegantly decorated, and with the most comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. It is a short walk from restaurants, shopping, and the fernicular. My husband and I had a wonderful time in the hotel and the enchanting town."

Building is well insulated so hardly any noise the staff where very helpful and the tourists information centre is just outside the train station. If you are going to the lakes the easiest way is into Milan and out . Don’t miss Cramer."
