The location is beautiful, across the road from the ocean and beaches, along with several excellent walks. My room was very comfortable and cosy with nice updates, although part of the charm of the hotel is its age which does show in some of the common areas. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, although a few more healthy options would be appreciated for...

"Our room was clean and comfortable but showing its age. Although it had been freshened up, the TV was quite old and picture quality was SD when these days one might expect HD. Similarly the light above the bathroom mirror was not even LED and when we found the pull cord it was dim and and only illuminated several years of dust. The bed was very comfortable. This may seem a bit picky but we paid over £100 for one night which did not even give us access to the pool. We learnt the hard way that the...

"Hotel close to pedestrian crossing to promenade and beach. Bar/restaurant very good. Lovely single room with a double size bed. Easy access to room via lift and through fire doors. Staff and especially Reception Staff were absolutely lovely. "

"Breakfast was excellent, dinner however is a different kettle of fish. To charge £4.00 for 5 onion rings was actually a rip off. Over the two dinners we had in the hotel service was inadequate. Bringing out two dishes separately because one meal wasn’t ready. I’m expecting decent service and pulling the staff off the reception desk to run the and wait table is unprofessional and rediculous."

"Caravan was tired but very clean. Value good for what we paid. Excellent site, amenities are great, everything required to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Pool area very clean. "We paid extra for a gold room with a sea view, unfortunately it meant we could hear all the evening entertainment in the pub below which went on till late. (We heard every word through the microphone, including bingo and karaoke singing) Unfortunately the hotel staff couldn't do anything about, although they did try. Had we paid less and had a smaller room higher up it probably would have been better which is a shame. But it was great to have the beach so close out the front door. "

"Hotel is in great location but the car park is a public car park. So in busy times you could end up with no space although it’s a large car park. And it’s rough, loose stones and not flat. The staff are lovely, very helpful. We had a lovely sea view room, comfortable bed, nice bedding, not huge and the en suite is quite snug, but lovely and clean and modern. Nice to have cooked to order breakfast, overall a good place to stay."

"Friendly and helpful receptionist on arrival and also the next day. My single room was clean as was bed linen and towels. Room not large but more than adequate for an overnight stay. No dinner served in the hotel but they are happy to recommend local eateries of which there are many. The hotel does have a bar which was open for 4 hours in the evening. Breakfast was buffet style with a selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast and cooked. They cook your eggs to your preference eg poached, fried...

"Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay."

"There was no lift and although staff helped me with my case,I still had to climb up and down to the 2nd floor. I had asked for a lower room because I have severe heart failure, despite having booked in January, there were many people, far fitter than me on the 1st floor. My room was clean but the curtain was not hanging properly. Many of the carpets need a clean, so did the big window on the stairs which was filthy with cobwebs, The garden needed tidying up, there were cigarette butts...

"Stayed for one night in budget single room. Nice white towels in bathroom with heated towel rail. Good breakfast, lots of choice. Would definitely stay there again "
