The La Monastica resort was a wonderful place with a staff who were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location and grounds were beautiful with some modern influences in decor but really maintaining the overall old world charm and aesthetic of the monastery. We really enjoyed time in the bar playing cards and drinking some great cocktails.

We loved this place and it was by far the best place we stayed during our time in Italy. The property is breathtaking and the service/staff is amazing. All the food we had was phenomenal and fresh. The wine is to die for. This is the type of place that is so good that you almost don’t want to tell people about it to keep it secret. Hope to be back again someday.

This beautiful resort was full details thoughtfully crafted by the team to create a restful, luxurious experience. The brand new facility and beautiful views are pristine. The staff was very attentive to cultivate the perfect experience for us!

I visited more then 10 Four Seasons hotels around the world and every tim i think they couldn't be better, but this time i was wrong, they (FS) done it better. Hotel was like another planet, perfect in any way, i usually pay a lot attention to details and mistakes, i was trying hard to find them, but there was non. Recommend this hotel to everyone, 100%, you will be more then amazed.

Gorgeous place and quiet sanctuary right in the middle of a busy, hectic city. No street noise in the rooms. every single staff member was delightfully helpful. If I was forced to complain about something,.. I would say that the lobby restaurant was hired out for private evets multiple nights so hotel guests had no ability to access that amenity.

We are very frequent travelers who have never been to the Villa il Poggiale before and loved it. We visited in late September - not too hot and the evenings were cool. Perfect time to go. Federica, Irene, and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful from arranging our to/from airport transportation to making us feel at home. This property is without a doubt among your top listings. The location is delightful and 15 mins. away from Lucca city center. In other words, have fun in the main city but relax and fully enjoy this pearl in the outskirts of the city. The room was clean and comfortable to my satisfaction.
