Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. The property is so unique and we loved our loft room that had plenty of space for our family of 5. Highly recommend taking the bikes they have available to ride around the city. One of our trip highlights!

This is not a picture-postcard villa with glorious views in the heart of town. It's a super-clean, well-managed, airy, Best Western with free parking, helpful staff, good restaurant, free internet, and fine breakfast, 10 minutes by car from Lucca and a good jumping-off base for driving to other sites in the area. Good value for the money.

We had a fantastic visit in Lucca. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We also really enjoyed the free complimentary breakfast.

The hotel is charming, intimate, and very well staffed. From a lovely, abundant breakfast spread with friendly and efficient staff to a roster of well-informed, helpful and friendly front desk/check-in staff, you are pleasantly surprised at every turn. The best part of the hotel was the pool and landscape around the hotel. The food at the restaurant was ok. The only downside of our stay was the drunk British man who couldn't find his room and woke us up at 3 am by sticking his head through our bedroom window looking for his girlfriend.

The parking is good. The location of just outside the wall at Porta Elisa is convenient. The man at reception made our dinner reservation at Gigi and it was great.

Accommodations are lovely, comfortable, elegant, and quiet. Located about 1/2 mile outside walled city that enters directly into the west gate. Easy flat walk passing pastry, pizza, and gelato shops along the way. The rooms are exquisitely decorated with modern amenities among antique furniture. Very modern bathroom fixtures and shower. House has the feel of prior centuries, but is well maintained with modern conveniences. Two block from the old city on a quiet residential street. Three blocks away the other direction is a bakery and several restaurants. Supermarcato is within a reasonable walk

Our room in the annex was very roomy and comfortable. Great bed, great view. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing!

The hotel is located very near the autostrade and outside the walled city. Access is easy and direct. Staff were multi lingual and friendly. English was not a problem. Parking is free. Hotel Villa Casanova was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany! Everything about this place was special. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with a huge comfortable bed, huge shower, and enormous soaking tub. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. We stayed for 3 nights in the Puccini room. The room was very large, the bathroom was nice, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel is within walking distance of practically everything in Lucca, moments from the Walls, cafes, and shopping. This was a fantastic stay!!
