Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. The property is so unique and we loved our loft room that had plenty of space for our family of 5. Highly recommend taking the bikes they have available to ride around the city. One of our trip highlights!

This is not a picture-postcard villa with glorious views in the heart of town. It's a super-clean, well-managed, airy, Best Western with free parking, helpful staff, good restaurant, free internet, and fine breakfast, 10 minutes by car from Lucca and a good jumping-off base for driving to other sites in the area. Good value for the money.

The parking is good. The location of just outside the wall at Porta Elisa is convenient. The man at reception made our dinner reservation at Gigi and it was great.

The hotel is charming, intimate, and very well staffed. From a lovely, abundant breakfast spread with friendly and efficient staff to a roster of well-informed, helpful and friendly front desk/check-in staff, you are pleasantly surprised at every turn. The best part of the hotel was the pool and landscape around the hotel. The food at the restaurant was ok. The only downside of our stay was the drunk British man who couldn't find his room and woke us up at 3 am by sticking his head through our bedroom window looking for his girlfriend.

We had a fantastic visit in Lucca. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We also really enjoyed the free complimentary breakfast.

The Palazzo Alexander is the most accommodating place we stayed at on our trip. Mario is a true gentleman who is a wealth of information. This is a great hotel in a lovely town.

Accommodations are lovely, comfortable, elegant, and quiet. Located about 1/2 mile outside walled city that enters directly into the west gate. The hotel is located very near the autostrade and outside the walled city. Access is easy and direct. Staff were multi lingual and friendly. English was not a problem. Parking is free. Amazing view of the plaza! Location is perfect. Valentina is super helpful and accommodating. She will answer any questions you have with enthusiasm and care. In summary, a great property with a great host! Would stay again.

House has the feel of prior centuries, but is well maintained with modern conveniences. Two block from the old city on a quiet residential street. Three blocks away the other direction is a bakery and several restaurants. Supermarcato is within a reasonable walk

Our room in the annex was very roomy and comfortable. Great bed, great view. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing!

The hotel is inside the city walls. Upon arrival by car, get instructions from the front desk before you venture beyond the city gates. The hotel is old but very comfortable, clean, and efficient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited, so confirm a space when reserving. The bonus is you cannot get any more centrally located. I would stay here again, for sure.
