It's not luxurious by any means, but it was quite clean and having the kitchen (with a washer/dryer!) was fantastic for giving kids breakfast and snacks without having to go out to restaurants. It's a short walk to Fountainbridge, which has lots of shops and restaurants. We walked all over the city, but you can also catch buses nearby.
