After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . "We stayed 2 nights, a traditional hotel which exceeded expectations, the hotel was grand and not what we normally use, but it was great. Some of the decorations were tired but they are working on all these areas. Beds we’re comfortable and breakfast had good choice. We attended the Kelso ram sale and it was a lovely treat. "

"This is a quirky older hotel that has been modernised in places. The room where we had breakfast was a magnificent wood panelled room with a lovely view. The rooms at the back of the hotel had lovely views too. We had dinner in the bar and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful two night stay"
