"Room was nice, bed was comfortable, breakfast had good selection. We brought our x2 dogs and as with a lot of other stays we’ve done felt a bit short changed with the £30 per dog fee. Would recommend having a fridge in a dog friendly room as some dog food needs kept in a fridge. Otherwise had a nice stay and would likely stay again."

"This is an interesting hotel with quite a history, which has been written up for the benefit of guests and is well worth reading. It is situated a few miles from the beautiful Tweed valley with its Salmon fishing The weather cannot be relied upon to be warm and dry, but that applies to most of Scotland, so you takes a chance. There are some wonderful walks from the hotel Also. the hotel is well situated for a drive into Edinburgh (or indeed a Bus ride)"
