"This was a stunning place, the photos don’t do justice. It was so luxurious and aesthetic, overlooking the black beach. So quiet and pretty. I am glad we picked this place Kitchen and gadgets were top notch, shower was amazing, very spacious, ample space for everything. Parking was very convenient too."

"We absolutely loved our stay here and honestly didn’t want to leave. The apartment was spotless, modern, and much more spacious than we expected. One pleasant surprise was the layout. The listing mentioned two bedrooms, but I somehow came away thinking it was one bedroom with a pull-out couch. It actually has two true bedrooms and plenty of space—we easily fit our group, and I think it could comfortably accommodate up to six people. The location couldn’t be better. It’s right in the heart of Vík and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything the town has to offer, making it an incredibly convenient home base for exploring the area. The only thing worth noting is that check-in is handled through a mobile app rather than direct communication with the host. It took me a minute to figure that out, and I wasn’t able to contact the host directly. That said, we received access earlier than expected, which allowed us to drop our bags off before check-in and start exploring sooner—a nice bonus that we really appreciated. If we’re ever back in Vík, this will be the first place we look to book again."

"We had a great stay at Hotel Kría. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection to start the day. We also appreciated the laundry service, which was available for a reasonable fee and was very convenient during our trip. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. There was also plenty of easy parking. The location is excellent, with restaurants, cafés, and shopping all within easy walking distance, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. We would definitely stay here again!"

"It’s right on highway 1 between Selfoss and Vik so that’s a plus point, near by gas station and groceries store are also a plus point. Breakfast spread is decent nothing special but great to grab and go or dine in before heading out. I’m taking a star away because staff just put me in circles in helping a night cancellation charges and had me talk to multiple people instead of the one who would make the decision and in the end they gave me a wrong email (Which bounced ) to contact manager, decent thing would be to just say no that we can’t help and I’d be on my ways."

"First time in a hostel. Was a little scared, but the reviews and pictures looked promising and I took a risk. I'm glad I did. Everything was so clean, I was thoroughly impressed. Fresh bed sheets and towels everyday. Lockers that you can lock, fully stocked kitchen, and pleasant guests. Didn't feel sketch or unsafe. Not sure if all hostels are like this, but I had a good experience here. If you're on the fence, it's definitely worth it. It's a cool experience. My only grip is, the dorms are too hot at night. Especially if you're on the top bunk."
