Hotels in Sri Lanka routinely provide/arrange accommodation for drivers (either for a price or sometimes for free). Jacob made it seem like drivers are not worthy of staying in the vicinity of guests as they "disturb the look of the hotel and the other guests". "Terrible experience. Terrible customer care. The hotel was shut and they refused to refund me. We (my wife and my 4 year old child) arrived at the location and the gate was shut. "I stopped here for two nights when in Trincomalee. The hotel is within walking distance to the bus station and also a local beach with very few tourists and small market areas, though it is around 6km away from the more lively Uppaveli beach. The basic triple room that I was initially booked in wasn’t very good at all, with stained bedsheets and a dirty bathroom.
