"We had a great stay in July 2025. The room was exactly as described, and the staff were very responsive to any request we had. The room and facilities were clean, and the hotel itself within easy walking distance of the popular areas of downtown."

"I had a grand 3 night stay at The Duckworth in July 2025. I was very grateful for the staff taking my luggage off my hands before I could check in and also texting me when my room was ready. As I was very much in need of a shower and rest that heads up was much appreciated. The location is fantastic - walkable easily to all parts of downtown with lots of restaurants, pubs and tourist attractions in East walking distance. I found my room to be well laid out and I liked the decor. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. There was plentiful hot water and great wi-fi. While there was no in-hotel noise, if you are sensitive to noise two factors to bear in mind are the downtown location (there are some street traffic sounds) and the window mounted A/C which, according to the decibel meter on my phone, made about 40-ish DB (similar to a quiet library). But the A/C was necessary as the temps with the humidex were mid-30s Celsius. This was my second time staying at The Duckworth and when next in St John's I hope to stay there again."
