"Really nice place. Will definitely book again if we're around the area."

"Food was exceptionally good with great choice. Staff pleasant and helpful."

"I have visited over 170 countries. This castle is in my top two or three most wonderful places I have ever visited. The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. The food and wine could not have been more amazing. The live piano played at dinner was priceless. I will fondly remember this place for the rest of my life."

"Clean room friendly staff and quality food and drink"

"Lovely modern clean room and staff really helpful, great food in the restaurant and family friendly. Great park for kids just across the road"

"We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day. We had a very friendly welcome from Ann who on arrival looked after our every need. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The property suited our needs perfectly. Thank you Ann!"

"Wonderful breakfast and stay with very friendly host - much needed after a long walk. Thank you - definitely coming back."

"A nice stay. Staff were really helpful; particularly accommodating food allergies. Pets were welcome in the pub itself as well as the room that had been booked. Nice little added extras like dog treats in the room and dog beds provided. Breakfast was nice too - hot options + selection of cereals and toast."
