Appleby Castle
10/10 Excellent
"I have visited over 170 countries. This castle is in my top two or three most wonderful places I have ever visited. The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. The food and wine could not have been more amazing. The live piano played at dinner was priceless. I will fondly remember this place for the rest of my life."

"Such a beautiful place! Wonderful friendly staff who cannot do enough for you. We stayed in a stunning shepherds hut on the edge of the lake. A perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary."

"Great little place for a room over a bar. The bar closes at 9 PM so you get a very quiet sleep. Very close walk from the station."
The World Famous Tan Hill Inn

"We stayed at Tan Hill for part of our honeymoon and it was perfect. We stayed in Pennine view superior room and it was breathtaking. Spotlessly clean, perfect in everyway. Great choice of drinks in the bar, staff were fantastic. Breakfast was simply amazing. Great circular walk down to keld across the Pennine way"
The Three Horseshoes Hotel

"It was a good place for my American visitors to spend their first night in the UK. A traditional pub in a very attractive town. Dinner and breakfast were good. We found the parking area at the back of Morrisons. A bit tight but after some back and forth I managed to wedge the car in and didn't block anyone else."
Redstones Hotel

"We recently stayed at this newly renovated boutique hotel and absolutely loved it! The interior design is gorgeous, and the entire place was impeccably clean—we had zero complaints about our room or the service. The only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit too pricey for what it was. We ended up skipping it and grabbing a great breakfast en route instead. It would be wonderful if they offered a more reasonably priced breakfast option in the future. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would gladly stay here again!"
