"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

"We were hiking in DUFTON for 2 days! Our cottage was lovely perfect for 2 days very quirky! We enjoyed our stay very much! Shower needs a little more power but it was fine for 2 days!"

"Comfortable accommodation that suited our family group, with plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen and access to central Appleby with its good pubs and shops. The rooms were spacious, warm and the en-suites in every room were welcome plus the family bathroom for overspill. The private parking at the rear was good if a little tight for large cars. All in all a very good experience and one the family would willingly repeat."

"Very convenient for town and only a few steps away from the Royal Oak pub. Stayed here as my mother lives around the corner. Would recommend. Easy access to the A66 and the Lakes only 40 minutes away. Locals very friendly."

"Clean and good facilities. We didn't see another person for the whole stay! It would have been helpful to have had instructions for the appliances and the heating! We could not find a way to turn it up beyond 17° so the lounge was quite cold! It would also have been helpful if the car park was a bit closer ( on the days it poured with rain). I would still recommend it as a good place to stay, as long as you don't mind washing up."
