"Clean and good facilities. We didn't see another person for the whole stay! It would have been helpful to have had instructions for the appliances and the heating! We could not find a way to turn it up beyond 17° so the lounge was quite cold! It would also have been helpful if the car park was a bit closer ( on the days it poured with rain). I would still recommend it as a good place to stay, as long as you don't mind washing up."

"We had a lovely week at Rundales Cottage. Richard and Chantal were great hosts, there if needed but not intrusive. Their many pet dogs were no problem, well behaved and fun to watch. The property abuts a working dairy farm, the sounds and smells all add to the experience of staying in the country. Hadrian’s wall and Northumberland in general are within easy reach, along with the Lakes and Dales. Appleby is a short walk or drive away, and Dufton too though a bit further, but well worth a visit....
