"We wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and would normally have gone somewhere hot for this milestone but with Covid we are still not prepared to fly anywhere, so were looking for something different to just a ‘hotel room’, I saw this advertised on Expedia, and it looked to be just what we were looking for, a bit of luxury in a tranquil setting, just the down time we needed after a busy year. "We absolutely lucked out with this gem. The host, Mark, is hilarious, helpful and super kind. We really enjoyed room 8 with all the thoughtful extras. Our room had great linens and towels, tons of pillows, amazing light with double doors we could leave open and the bathroom was great with the most excellent of water pressure. They made us breakfast every morning which was nice. We took a 15 min walk and were at water’s edge. The town was lovely with good pubs. Thank you, Mark!!"

"We like to jump on the heart of Wales train line and stay in different little places. This was just the ticket. The hotel was quite different and very quaint. Room was lovely and very romantic with four poster bed. Most of the staff were very friendly, even though they were obviously short staffed during breakfast. but I think the manager could have been a little more welcoming !"

"Very disappointing stay. The hotel rooms are very outdated and tired. Bathroom disgusting. On positive note, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast very basic. Overall i would not recommend this hotel at all. There are better hotels for this price. Standards are about 2 stars at its best."
