I was visiting NYC with friends from Texas and they were so surprised at the friendly service (having believed all New Yorkers are mean :-)) Every person we encountered, from the front desk to the bellman - each person was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortable. I was not expecting it to be so quiet either. I will absolutely stay at the Sonesta again! "

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Entrance very nice and welcoming. Our room was a little tired and could do with a few upgrades and better lighting. However, the room was spotlessly clean, great shower, very comfortable bed and crisp clean linens. I would consider it comfortable and affordable and reminiscent of a boutique hotel. Great upscale area away from, but still accessible to, the madding crowds. Will definitely stay again "
