"The staff were in the main very friendly and helpful. The room was very old fashioned and in need of some refurbishment. There were only two sockets neither of which were close to the beds. The curtains didn't cover the window completely and they were very light. As a consequence I couldn't sleep beyond the very early morning due to the light. The bathroom was fine although the bath was very deep and high sided which made getting in and out to use the shower a little difficult. The main thing the room had going for it is that it was large with plenty of room in both the bedroom and bathroom. The room was very clean. We thought the food was excellent. In particular the breakfasts were outstanding. A big factor for us was the good amount of parking available at the hotel. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it for value for money too."

"Lovely hotel in walking distance to the town. Room clean, only provided with 2 teabags though. Be careful the water is charged at £1.50 if Ur not gold customers. Spa was lovely and relaxing but only have an hour use each day. The hot tub was outside and I didn't use that as the water looked too dirty. My husband and I stayed but we didn't have breakfast as we thought the price was too much. Lovely complimentary cookie on arrival. "

"Whilst the staff on reception were very polite and pleasant. The hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. Dated to the core, the room had damp by the windows, poor lighting and an uncomfortable bed with an ill fitting headboard. Fire alarm going off at 2am was horrendous. The walls are so thin you can hear next doors TV and toilet habits. There also seemed to be a large foreign contingent staying who were very loud and disruptive."

"Four off us stayed for a 1 week, the hotel and staff were excellent and very helpful, our room was very comfortable, bed was very comfortable. We did have a problem trying to get into our room, the key card did not activate and had to go to reception several times for new card. If we had 1 problem, it would be most helpful to have a handrail going up the steps to main entrance."
