"Great weekend stay at The Lighthorseman, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, landlord and staff most welcoming, huge breakfast! Decent selection of food on menu. Walkable distance to the city centre but there is a bus stop about 5 minutes away and taxis are plentiful. I would definitely recommend."

"Took our 10 year old granddaughter for her last visit before schools opened back .our room was large with a double sofa bed for her . The bar area was very nice. Breakfast was what we would expect and the food was nice and warm . It was raining on the Saturday night so we opted to stay in the hotel for our evening meal but have to say we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. All the staff were really friendly and we would definitely stay again. "

"This was a real last minute booking, but what a winner. The guest house was wonderful. The room was very comfortable (didn't want get out of the bed). Such an individual look to each room. Made a nice change from the usual Travelodge/Premier Inn ordinariness. Did Didn't try the breakfast. Will rectify that next time. Very impressed. Highly recommend. "
