"The home was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated.Located in a nice quiet neighborhood.Easy to walk to Gion district and Nishiski marketplace.The host was very responsive and helpful.When checking out we were met by the cleaning ladies who were very sweet and friendly.We enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend this rental."

We were pleasantly surprised by the walkability to many shrines and other sites of interest around Gion. I was also appreciative of the detailed instructions received in advance. "Stayed here with friends to visit Kyoto. Is a beautiful house and great area for seeing shrines. Definitely in a bit of an uphill neighborhood though, so ordering Ubers can be challenging. Otherwise recommend for any travelers! "

"Our stay at Kamogawa House was nothing short of wonderful. This beautifully designed home blends modern comforts with traditional Japanese aesthetics, creating a serene retreat in Kyoto.With three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, the layout was perfect for our family. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were especially helpful as my mother-in-law had injured her foot and couldn’t use the stairs. Upstairs, the shower and bath experience was truly divine—exactly what we needed after long days...

"Loved this hotel! Beds were very comfortable, breakfast at the restaurant was wonderful and the onsen was amazing to end each day. Staff were very nice as well. Thank you for the lovely stay!"
