"This is a great location right in Gion, and a classic Japanese style in. We ended up booking two days, one with the meal plan and one without. The meal was very well prepared traditional Japanese fare, everything tasted very good and was well prepared. The service in the room was very cool as well. We wanted to experience the more classical Japanese tradition, so we stayed in the room with the futons directly on the floor. I loved the experience, but did find the futon lacked the padding I was hoping for, so if you find yourself in a similar situation, what I did was make use of the additional blankets provided to add some padding, and it worked very well."

"This is my second time staying at Forza Kyoto. Loved the location, it is located on the main shopping street. They now do self check-in, which was a little weird because there were available staff, so I thought service could be a little better. Not all rooms have a separate shower and bath area."

"Love this place. It is very clean and modern yet still very Japanese. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are restaurants on the premise if you don't want to go out. The only downside is the infrequency of the commuter rail, but that's out of the hotel's control. Just FYI"
