"Very hard working staff but sometimes gruff especially at front desk. Advice to families - when you arrive, ask for a tour with the carts to take you around to all three resorts included as one. Notice the pools, amenities, kids club etc. if it’s a Tuesday sign up as early as possible that morning for the dolphin show because it fills up quickly and there aren’t spaces for all kids. also, the kids club insists that your kids wear Floaties if you’re not comfortable with them swimming and you need to bring your own so make sure that you have yours on hand. There is a gift shop, but it’s extremely overpriced. Other advice is the minute you check in at the front desk walk over and set up reservations for The restaurants. They’re booked well in advance and you will likely not find a reservation unless you are early and diligent. We highly recommend the hibachi restaurant that was delightful and fun. We traveled with a five-year-old a six-year-old and two-year-old twins who all had a blast."

"We just got back from a 4-night stay (July 6–10) at Moon Palace Sunrise. We traveled as a family of 5 with boys ages 9, 11 & 12. Overall, we had a great trip and would absolutely return! The biggest surprise was how much there was for older kids to do. The arcade, coffee shop, daily activities, and nightly shows kept them entertained the entire trip. The Sunrise pool is HUGE and never felt crowded despite being busy. The atmosphere was fun and energetic. The food was good—our favorite was the steakhouse. We did the presentation for the Grand water park pass. The water park was fun, and the food at The Grand was noticeably better. However, I wouldn’t spend vacation time on the presentation again. The resort credits were disappointing—we had over $1,250 and couldn’t find much to use them on. Even after saying no, we were repeatedly pressured to buy, including at checkout. Our biggest negative was the staff. Everyone was polite, but not nearly as warm or welcoming as we’ve experienced at other Caribbean resorts. We also noticed missing pool tiles and the pool was dirty to the point when you got out you needed to shower immediately. While there were workers constantly scrubbing it did not remove the problem. Overall, we made great family memories. I’d definitely return, but I’d love to see less sales pressure and friendlier service."

"Definitely won’t be the last time this resort sees me. I gotta say what really sets this place apart from other resorts I’ve stayed at is the food. The stuff were nice and super helpful. If you see a bartender named Lucia just know you’re in good hands!!!"

"My family and I stay was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. First day there we met a staff named Norma and she was excellent from start to finish. We traveled for my daughter’s 7th birthday and I must say Norma went all out by getting her a cake some balloons and a nice gift. The jelly house was a hit. My daughter enjoyed going and spending time with other children as well as the staff, she calls them her teachers lol. The food was ok could have been better. If I must say breakfast may have been the best meal we had. Overall our 4nights 5days was worth it and I will say I will come visit again in the future."

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun - Adults Only - All inclusive

"If you like the beach and water sports and activities, be aware that summer is not the time to visit Secrets Maroma. The beach and the surf is jam packed with seaweed. It is a heavy, brown seaweed called sargassum, and the water and sand is disgusting. The resort does their best to take it away, with machinery running all day long, but it keeps washing in. Everything else about this resort is exquisite! Food, service, facilities, and more!"
