The Old Spey Bridge was built after the 1745 rebellion by General Wade's successor, Major William Caulfield, as part of the military road that ran from Coupar Angus to Fort George. The inscription on the bridge says, "AD 1754. 5 companies of the 33rd Regiment Colonel Charles Hay. Ended"

Wild Lupins (L. perennis) grown in profusion all along the banks of the Spey in June. The Spey is known to be a fast-running river and is especially famous as one of Scotland's best salmon rivers.

" I booked 3 lodges for family and friends for my daughter’s 40th birthday. We all loved our stay, despite the weather. The lodges were clean, comfortable and very spacious. Grandchildren had a brilliant time with the outdoor space, swimming & dry sledging. Would have loved more time but we will certainly be back as there is so much we haven’t done. Local people & shop staff were very helpful and friendly."

"Staff is super helpful and friendly! Food in the restaurant is good. We had a room on the 1st floor and had issues with the wifi working. They happily moved us to a room on the 2nd floor where the WiFi works perfectly! The hotel is right by the river Ness and couldn’t be any more centrally located. We’re very happy with our choice! It’s very clean and the beds are comfortable! "
