While we didn't have breakfast at the property, there's a convenient coffee shop Sizuya-Shichijo nearby offering delicious options for around 800 yen, which worked perfectly for us. "This is a great hotel that had a very comfortable bed and the room was very quiet. It is located reasonably close to the busier tourist sites (15-20 minute walk) but provides a place of calm should you wish to escape. The main floor bakery / cafe is excellent (fabulous focaccia) and the restaurant / bar on the rooftop is also fantastic. Other amenities such as the gym (small but decent) and laundry (very easy to use) are nice features. "

"The hotel is very conveniently located within the main train station. Not at all noisy though. It’s clean and comfortable. Staff at check in were very efficient. Check-in and check-out is super quick and easy even though there were morning queues being a convention hotel. Would definitely recommend if staying in Kyoto and want to get around the city. "

"I heard APA hotels were “cheap hotels”, however this hotel was better than some in the states (US). They had laundry, they’ll hold luggage prior or after check in, they’ll forward your luggage too. Walkable to train station 10 mins. Cafe next door has better breakfast in my opinion but they’re about the same price. Curry place up the road has great food. And burger revolution nearby is a great option too. Family mart and 7- eleven are close too. I would stay again. "
