"I had a pleasant stay at Rossett Hall . I only stayed 1 night d I was attending a family wedding. The room was spacious , very clean and fresh . The staff were pleasant helpful and welcoming. I didn’t have a cooked breakfast but enjoyed the cereals , fruit , yoghurt , juice and toast. I travelled by car but the bus stop is nearby for easy access into Wrexham or Chester. I recommend Rossett Hall for a short stay to visit the surrounding area."

The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away. This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I appreciated the don’t trust your sat nav signs...

The Boathouse & Riverside Rooms

Chester

10/10 Excellent

This hotel was a bit of a surprise. The set up looks more like a motel and we were concerned there would be noise from the parking lot but it was fine. Our room appeared recently renovated and was very well thought through & appointed. No complaints! The restaurant sits right on the river and has a wonderful breakfast so be sure to sign up for that. Lovely view & you can watch boats go by while dining. Lovely, helpful staff. We were very pleased and would be happy to stay again.
