" I work summers as a contractor at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, and every time I’m in the area, I choose to stay at the Best Western in Slidell, LA. There’s no question — it’s my go-to place. Not just because it’s a great hotel, but because it consistently exceeds expectations. The entire property has been recently refurbished — clean, cool, and very quiet, making it a perfect place to rest after long days at work. It’s also incredibly convenient: close to restaurants, stores, bars, and practically everything in Slidell. The staff is what truly makes this hotel stand out. Ms. Mary at the front desk is simply amazing — professional, welcoming, and always one step ahead of your needs. She makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The whole team is efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. I’ve stayed in many different ones throughout my weeks here, and all are equally well-equipped: comfy beds, strong and hot showers, reliable Wi-Fi, microwaves, fridges, and great A/C units. Everything works, and everything is well-kept. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I’ve had at any hotel — rotating menus with variety, healthy options, fresh juice, and 24/7 coffee available in the lobby. The pool is clear and refreshing, perfect on hot Louisiana afternoons. There’s always plenty of safe parking, and the neighborhood feels secure and quiet. "Everyone is SO friendly!! All of the staff have been incredibly helpful and accommodating. The place is clean, the casino is nice. We didn’t use the pool this go round, it was very kid friendly and since we left the kids at home this go round, being surrounded by a ton of kids didn’t sound fun. 😬 We will bring them back with us next time though! All the food was delicious as well "
