"Always have a good stay in the Village Hotel, Basingstoke. Zara on reception greets us with a smile and knows us by our first names and is Always very helpful. Room is always comfy BUT staying there as often as we do Two things could make it better. Towels are I presume clean but Always look wrinkled like they have been used before. Quilt is always too warm in the summer time. "

"Smart, clean and modern"

"Overall I was pleased with the hotel and staff. My only issue, after a long drive and late check in, was the lack of food selection at the bar. The receptionist ensured me that I could get the same selection of food at the bar since the restaurant was closing. Two selections were shot down immediately. I was told only burgers and sandwiches were avaliable. I just expected a better menu."

"Good clean sized rooms "

"Lovely grand property awaits you when you drive in. We had a garden room in a newer part of the hotel. It's fair yo say it could do with a bit of facelift but nevertheless the room was clean, the bed very comfortable and extremely quiet. Buffet breakfast is very good - a huge choice for all including vegans. We tried the spa/pool which was really nice too! "

"I really loved my stay here. It’s in a beautiful location by the river with attentive staff and excellent food. We had a wonderful view of the river from our room and the hotel felt very peaceful and relaxed. Would definitely stay here again when in the area - it’s a wonderful place to unwind. "
