10/10 Excellent

"Check in was easy, our room was available early. This is a big hotel, very much like a rabbit warren! Staff provided a map with clear instructions how to reach our rooms, which were situated in the rather grim looking Garden Rooms block. Inside, the room was spacious, well appointed with plenty of USB sockets. The ensuite was quite small, but everything worked and some toiletries were provided. There is a TV with a small selection of terrestrial stations available to view. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and tidy. We had an early start the following morning, so we asked if we could arrange breakfast before the usual time. They were happy to do this and provided take away boxes, although we didn't realise they were going to put out cereals, had this been the case we would have gone down earlier. We had dinner the night before in the restaurant (there were 10 of us), so had pre booked a table. The menu is extensive with a wide range of food to suit all tastes, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. They also cater for allergies with a separate section for coeliacs. The food was very good. There are plenty of comfortable lounges to relax in, a swimming pool and other leisure facilities. There was no water in the bedroom, but there are beverage stations located in various areas around the hotel, so we grabbed a bottle from one of those. There is plenty of parking, and the hotel is easy to locate from the A34. We would recommend this hotel."

"The bed was uncomfortable and probably even worse, the pillows weren’t soft or comfortable. I woke at 2am due to discomfort and didn’t get back to sleep again, and unfortunately my wife had a similar sleeping experience. Also, when staying during the summer, I would advise asking for a room that isn’t on the same side as the entrance. Unfortunately, this was the same side as the sun came up and being on the 5th floor, with inadequate curtains and blinds, meant that the sunlight came in from around 4.30-5am. Not that I was asleep anyway, but it didn’t help. Bedroom tv was miles away - needed binoculars to see it! Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs were anaemic, with loads of milk swimming around in the eggs. There was nothing which stood out and choices were limited. Receptionist was friendly. When my wife and I asked her if there was anywhere to walk in the evening, she warned against it. She did advise heading to the older part of town, but not those area. My wife and I were on a business trip, so the location near the station was good, but only if that’s all you need. Positive’s: I have stayed in worse hotels. Room was clean, so was the bathroom. Good view of Swindon station and countryside from the 5th floor - be aware you can hear trains going through the station through the night (if you’re unable to sleep). Parking is good - either on-site, or we parked 2 mins away for 24 hours, for less than a tenner and as I say, station is across the road. Wouldn’t recommend."

"Not the 1st time I've stayed in this hotel, and it never disappoints. Whether a standard room or a club one, they are always clean and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and efficient. The amenities are also fab (bar, restaurant, coffee bar, pool, sauna, etc). Across their free car park, there is lots of entertainment that u don't need to go central for (restaurants, bar, hollywood bowl, cinema). Plus 5mins walk there is an Asda shopping area incl shops and a pub. Taxi to the centre is 10 minutes and also not far from the motorway. We will be back again"
