"Breakfast was excellent and worth paying for. Large car park. Clean room and staff provided more towels for us swiftly upon request. Having the pub in the same location is handy for food and drinks, plus has a children’s play area. The location is excellent - shops and fast food restaurants on the doorstep, plus the bus station. We got the Thanet Loop bus easily to Margate whilst staying at the Canterbury Bell. Provided soap, shower gel and toilet paper are basic and you so may wish to bring your own. Also, no toilet brush available in the room for info. "

"Light and airy room, recently modernised. Loved the sky light and electronic blind! Bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom and shower well planned and fresh. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style. Well laid out and fresh. Extra options could be ordered which was a nice touch. "

"Our room was haunted but aside from that, it was great. Highly recommend. Just know it’s haunted before you wake up at 2am to lights going crazy and your plastic water bottle making weird noises on its own."

"Arrived late, the bar was pleasantly lively, but as I had been driving I unfortunately did not end up going back for a drink as the food was finished serving, granted it was 9pm. Room was nice and clean, everything was there and nice touch with the biscuits and coffee pods, really liked it. Breakfast was fantastic, service was great too. Will definitely be returning."

"Breakfast was excellent. Freshly prepared. Continental breakfast was extensive. We had a town view which was fine. Surprisingly no road noice so we slept well. Room was clean and bathroom was sparkling. Bed was very comfortable. Only observation would be that the shower was over the tub, and that's fine except that the tub was very tricky to get into especially for older people so having a way to get in and out easier would be nice. Tons of space in the bathroom though especially at the sink so it we had a place to put toiletries which was nice. Overall a nice stay and will come back. Will save up so we can try an ocean front room next time. "

"Staff are overworked. They have to check you in while serving at the bar. We were charged by Expedia and charged a second time when we checked in for the stay. Expedia refused to assist in the resolution, saying we had to work it out with the hotel. "

"Breakfast was good, room had a fabulous view and well equipped, the pantry was an amazing idea and overall hotel was excellent. Staff were all great but shout out to Kevin for providing a warm welcome"

"No soundproofing, loud bar could be heard until about midnight, then drunk people walking loudly around every ten minutes to get to their rooms or somewhere. I could hear the conversations of the men in the room next to me until 1am. Musty damp that irritated my allergies. Staff and location great and shower hot and room warm, if you can handle the rest."
