"Sitting by one of the fire pits at dusk drinking beers we saw a good-sized black bear wander past us – across the creek, fortunately! So yes, we can attest they do have bears. Overall, the cabin (Walnut) was nicely appointed and comfortable, but a little tight on space and storage. Keep in mind there are other guests in close proximity, so you will probably have the opportunity to interact with other people (we did and they all were nice!). Owner was communicative as there was a weather delay...
