I celebrated my honeymoon on June 8th at Lux and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. In fact, I plan to return next year at the same time. I hope to see Grace, who works at the reception. She truly deserves to be a manager. Lux, I am coming back and would love to stay in the same room, number 65. Thank you for making my honeymoon a magical experience for my wife and me.

The hotel has a very quiet and enjoyable beachfront. The property is spacious so you don't feel that there are other guests. The buildings are very well maintained and the food is godd and reasonably priced. The bungalows are not air conditioned so it might get a bit warm during the very humid months (April and May). Overall a great stay. Definitely recommended !

The island is chock-full if friendly and comforting staff members which truly elevate the unique experience provided by the island itself. The villas were extremely clean and we didn’t even encounter one big inside ours. The pool was a nice addition and just walking around being surrounded by palms, turquoise waters and silence was as breathtaking as it gets. To add to all this - THE FOOD was extraordinary. Deluxe Apartment Sea Facing- 10/10. Clean. Great size. Quiet. Excellent view. First floor, so avoided noisy neighbours above us. Decent, but small safe. A/C worked well. Bathroom - 10/10. Clean. Lovely shower. Bed - 10/10. Very large. Very comfy. Mozzy nets and turn down service at night. WiFi - 10/10. Very good, considering where we were. When you book a hotel you always read reviews with a pinch of salt. This hotel has fantastic reviews and with good reason. Everything from the welcome to our departure was absolutely first class without exception. A few members of staff deserve a special mention - Bernard, Mtoto, Nema and Baracka all helped make our stay extra special. The staff in general are exceptional including the kitchen staff who turn out superb food time after time and catered to my wife’s vegetarian requirements...

Very friendly staff settled in a beautiful surrounding. Great pool, and everything is so clean. We felt really looked after. How ever, it said in various sites that there is a beach here, it is, maybe 25 sq meter in total, but with no acces to the sea, there is a very large ref.

TOA is a new facility in the as-yet unspoiled Pongwe Beach area. The facility itself is beautiful, and kept immaculately clean. The staff are unfailingly kind, helpful and efficient, and everyone greets you with a smile and warmth. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared, and the grounds and amenities are spotless and carefully maintained. The most memorable part of the stay is the staff; I cannot say enough about how kind and generous they are. I highly recommend a stay at TOA.

My wife and I found a little bit of paradise at Royal Mandarin Resort! Very very nice property. We booked this room for five nights following our Serengeti Safari in the hope of some beach relaxation. We got that and so much more!

We had a wonderful holiday. Shooting star lodge is an oasis so peaceful and tranquil that we cannot help to relax and forget about all the cares in the world. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great. Our booking was problematic, because the site would not let us book one unit as a family of five. We fitted very comfortably into one cottage in the end but still ended up paying for both.

My wife and I spent eight nights in August and enjoyed our stay at the resort. Our bungalow was very comfortable, and if you're looking for a quiet location where you can walk without sandals directly onto the beach, this is the place. The resort does not have fridges or TVs in the rooms to add to the laidback experience. Staying at this family's villa was a very nice experience, and Ali helped us make arrangements to go on different excursions and arrange ferry pick ups. However for two single females, it wasn't the best choice of accommodation because reaching the beach requires unlocking gates and walking down a steep path and at night, we didn't feel comfortable walking past neighbors and men who were outside. It was also stressful to watch our belongings while we swam and people walked past, so we ended up...
