"During my two-week trip to Japan, one of the most memorable experiences was our stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa, An IHG Hotel. The experience was excellent, with warm and welcoming staff. The rooms were spotless and more spacious than others we stayed in. While the location wasn’t as central, with having attractions within walking distance, it was conveniently close to the mall and train station via taxi. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the on-site restaurant, the onsen was a standout feature and a key reason we chose this hotel, despite it being the most expensive of our trip. Out of the six hotels we stayed in, this was definitely one of our favorites, and I highly recommend it."

"The hotel was clean, comfortable, welcoming and quiet. Even though we were next to the train station, we didn’t hear anything. There are a lot of dining options nearby but you shouldn’t miss the hote breakfast buffet, which has both Japanese and western options. It was a nice chance for my kids to try some unfamiliar Japanese food. Coffee was great too, and they had to-go cups as well. The staff was helpful and spoke English well. They helped me ship our luggage to our next hotel (takkyubin). There is a coin laundry and the machines dispense detergent so you don’t need to have some. Convenience store (I think 7-Eleven) and Don Quixote 1 block away. There’s a microwave on the lobby floor (4th) and table and chairs on the rooms. Only down side was no drawers to store clothes but there was a closet to hang them. Overall it was clean and relatively spacious for a Japanese hotel. I would recommend it for families and couples. I would definitely stay here again and will look for Tokyu brand hotels in other cities as well. "

"Super clean and spacious rooms. Free breakfast was a nice bonus. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is not a fancy hotel but it was so clean and it had laundry facilities and an area with a microwave oven and ice machine. They also have a quiet workspace for anyone who wants to use it. Overall we were really happy with our stay at Toyoko Inn Nagano. "

"Great location very close to the station. I used the onsen twice a day, and there were only a few other people on occasion so it was quiet and relaxing. The beds were super wide, the two pushed together were wider than a king and were comfortable. Amazing blackout shades on the window. "
