"The negative: Lighting in the room was awful, especially if you don’t get one with a view. Trying to work the TV with the remote became the bane of my existence. Bathroom doors was second to that. This next one I understand isn’t really something the staff can control, but be careful walking from the Quarter to the hotel late at night, especially in front of the Brother’s store on Carondelet and Common St. Especially after midnight; take an Uber. We went into the store to purchase snacks and water for the room, and ran into an NOPD officer across the way who warned us to be careful at that store due to frequent criminal activity. There are some shady characters that seemed to hang out in front of that store everyday and night, but to be fair, we didn’t experience any issues, other than having to be more alert. The breakfast (that we had to pay for even though we supposedly paid for it upon booking), wasn’t anything to write home about. The positive: Staff were super friendly and helpful, service was great as it is in all other places in New Orleans we have visited. Walkability to the Quarter was super convenient. Same with the Street Car stations around the area. Bottom line: Affordable hotel located in the CBD, with great walkability to the Quarter, river, Warehouse District, Superdome. Great if you’re young and/or not traveling with children. However we will stay elsewhere in the future, just not our cup of tea"

"Great, clean, quaint little hotel on Decatur at edge of French Quarter. Access to all things in the quarter is a plus. Quiet internal courtyard. Needs a hot tub. Poop is small. But very nice. "

"With an arrival scheduled past midnight, and too late to pick up a rental car, we booked this property based on the close proximity to the airport and the 24/7 on demand shuttle service. Both were good. We did have to wait quite a while for the shuttle . . . but the delay was explained by a wonderfully friendly shuttle driver, explaining he was very low on gas and had to stop to fill up. In the morning, the staff cheerfully insisted on driving me across the street to the rental car location, focusing on safety. Would happily book here again, if needed."
