"We stay in Bakewell reguarly but this was the first time in this cottage. Overall the cottage is lovely with quite a few quirks that add character. Everything was good on arrival, except we could not find the parking permit. Eventually we found it in the post box. Even though we stayed over the summer holidays, permit parking was widely available and we didn't have any issues. The location is great, 5 mins walk into town. Following on from other reviews, the owners have made some improvements....

"Lovely cottage perfect for our two night stay in Derbyshire (family of 4). Large master bedroom and twin bedroom ideal for our two boys (12 and 9). The garden and views across the countryside are fantastic. Location was ideal for visiting Bakewell and Chatsworth."

"We were looking for a place large enough for 2 families, 4 in each family. The cottage was wonderful for us and had everything we needed. Hognaston is an incredibly charming village. Highly recommend!"
