Arc la Rambla

"We arrived late and were so tired, the door gets locked at 7pm which is really good, you use your key card to get in-great for security and makes you feel safe. The whole place was spotless, the cleaner came every day and cleaned room, made the bed and changed towels. Great air con in room, definitely needed after a day out in the town! The bed wasn’t the best, but we’ve had much worse, all the linen and towels were so clean, they were like brand new, as was the duvet and pillows were good. We didn’t have breakfast, but did have some hot drinks from the bar on site which weren’t great. We literally used the hotel to sleep in, it was in the best spot, so central to everything, yet really quiet, we were at the back of the hotel in a small double room, but it was fine for us, we did think about upgrading, but there wasn’t any point for what we needed. Would definitely recommend, we probably wouldn’t go back to Barcelona because there’s other places we want to go, but if we did we would stay here. The only negative thing we could say is that the smoke detectors weren’t working, we were told this on arrival, it was too late to do anything about it at this point. Also, we had people arrive next door the day before we left and they were noisy, we complained to reception and it was sorted within minutes."

"Breakfast was very good with at least two staff to help guests. What was missing was tomatoes and sliced cucumber. A.C .was good in the rooms. Staff smoking outside the front doors was not good !!!"

"The room was clean but small, and our shower was particularly cramped because of a cutout for ducting. The staff were generally helpful but one front desk person gave us a weird vibe, as if he wondered why we were even staying there. Additionally, housekeeping came quite late in the day, sometimes after 4pm when we would have liked a siesta."

"Lors de mon séjour à l'hôtel Xoton Poblenou j'ai apprécié l'amabilité du personnel et la propreté des lieux. Cependant, il semble y voir des difficultés avec la fréquentation de la piscine. Elle est très petite et très fréquentée. Lors de mon arrivée à la piscine, on m'a dit que je devais payer 45 Euros pour un lit ou chaise longue et que si il n'y en avait plus, je devais consommer pour 45 euros pour avoir droit à la piscine. À l'accueil, on m'a dit que j'avais été mal informé. Je n'ai pas pu vérifier car j'étais à la fin de mon séjour. Peut être que j'ai été mal informé par une nouvelle employée, mais... si l'accès à la piscine est important pour vous , il faut vous informer avant de choisir cet hôtel."

"Lovely hotel in Barcelona and a great location distance-wise to all the attractions and beach. Great amenities in the hotel. Gym was fab. Rooftop pool and bar were a brilliant place to chill out after exploring all day. Great 360 view. Rooms bright, clean and modern although the cleaning could be haphazard. We had to ask for towels a couple of days as they had been taken and not replaced and not everything in the room got refilled every time but the cleaning was great every day. Reception staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and were helpful to speak to at any time of day or night which was lovely. However be aware that it’s not the nicest part of the city. There were a lot of homeless, drunks and others in the immediate vicinity and it didn’t feel comfortable to me or my teenagers being outside, this is compared with other neighbouring areas. A couple of guests reported jewellery being stolen from them in the street outside which is a shame for such a nice modern hotel."
