This is a very local non touristy village. We enjoyed the hospitality (even if we couldnāt communicate)
The owner helped accomadate my sea food allergy. We really liked the hot bath available in the beautiful water. The only thing I would say is that it isnāt close to anything and you have to walk about 22 minutes to the train

Fantastic stay in this onsen style ryokan. Had a wonderful private onsen in our room, overlooking the river and the lake beyond. Canāt ask for a more perfect experience. Waking up early to soak in our private room onsen before dressing and heading down for the Japanese style breakfast included.

All the rooms were incredibly clean and relaxing. The host was very accommodating and the location was perfect. I was able to walk around at night and really appreciate where I was. Also, the sauna was very wonderful and do the matcha tea ceremony. It was very calming.

The private beach was the highlight! Never swam in a lake that felt so refreshing! View from the room was amazing. Perfect place to engage I. Digital detox!

We loved our stay in Hikone. The room was comfortable given we had three single beds. The hotel is only a minute walk from the train station and close to dining establishments. It's also a short walk to the castle - which is a must.
This was a week into our trip, so we availed ourselves of the laundry facility. It is located on one of the floors, not in your room. It had two washers and two dryers.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Breakfast was great. You get a full meal with soup, onigiri, salad, and juice.
Location is right next to Maibara which is really convenient. If you need additional food, there's a supermarket nearby.

It's a great location away from the busy life of the city. The lake is crystal clear and great to swim in though we did not see other swimmers. The rooms are small, yet suffice. I'll probably come back again.

The hotel is centrally located in Hikone. The staff were amazing and so accommodating. A good breakfast came with the room. Free bike rental (just a deposit while you have the bike). Room was clean as well.
