Great little hotel in the lovely village of Melrose. The food at the restaurant/pub was excellent and there was a cozy fire buring away. I booked a single accomodation and the room was on the smaller size but perfect for my needs.

Beautiful hotel, great dinner and breakfast and fantastic location right next to the lovely abbey. We loved it. And the receptionist was so nice! Perfect for first night on Saint Cuthbert’s Way!

Amazing mansion conversion into an event center and hotel. And there is even a lift to get you up to the top floor! Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. It was somewhat difficult for me to find using GPS. Needed to ask for help at the Tesco petrol station.

Dalhousie Castle is the ideal place if you're looking to stay in a castle in the Edinburgh area. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center which is just far enough to be out in the peaceful Scottish countryside. The castle itself is absolutely beautiful, and sits on grounds that are equally so, with archery, falconry, and several great walking paths. Driving up to the hotel I instantly fell in love with this place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were arriving late and the hotel arranged for us to have sandwiches waiting which was perfect. Peebles is adorable town nearby and recommend a visit. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

We’ll maintained, the pool and saunas were fantastic! Highly recommend as it’s walkable and very convenient to all locations downtown. Tge bar was also excellent!!

This is a great hotel for location and comfort. I don't sleep well in hotels but these beds and pillows were fantastic! Multiple options to choose from. I slept great. Dozens of great eating options within 3 blocks of hotel. Needed a cab at 4:30 am for our getaway and they arranged it. Great breakfast every morning too!

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

We had a short stay in Edinburgh, and this hotel was a real highlight. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtful, and the room felt comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, so we slept well every night. The staff were especially good. They were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and they made the stay easy. Great hotel. Very popular with families. Bed was comfortable enough. House keeping of room was thorough. Breakfast was well run. Easy stroll into the heart of Peebles town. Amazing views across the hills. Very kind staff.
